What is the simple difference between House, techno, and trance music? Is it all the same-Club Music?

I recently heard this song called "Diamond Life" at work and I really like it. Lately I have been hearing other music like this which I always considered as House Music. But then some searches generated it as techno music. So whats the difference. I always thought of trance as like the hypnotic, ambient sound. And techno as more upbeat than house. Also, can anyone recommend good songs/artists in this genre? Thanks everyone! Thanks

1. i think usually house music basically have the harmony of soul,funk and jazz harmony and goin on 124 bpm (beat per minute), while techno between 110 to 124 bpm doesnt use lot of harmony but signatured by the sound of the bass and synth and goes on minor chord (while electro funk using the chords of soul). and trance usually goin on 134 bpm with the signatured arp sound. example: House: Miguel Mix Electro : Mylo Trance : Tiesto well that's just based on my knowledge, peace. http://www.youtube.com/lloydpopp13
